Studio Lalala aims to foster the creation of sustainable practices for self-taught QTBIPOC artists, legitimize their hustles, and strengthen an autonomous local economy of filmmakers and storytellers. They strive to provide access to film production resources (space, equipment, and peer education), create job opportunities, sponsor/produce low-budget work, and co-create the art they wish to see.
Program Goals
Studio Lalala is working to establish a space where self-taught artists can grow beyond the barriers to entry into the film industry. A stronger community of autonomous artists can grow by creating a space in which people have access to the resources, support, and financial opportunities they need to see their visions to fruition.
