Mesa Artspace Lofts Grand Opening Jan. 23 Invites Public to Tour Open Studios and Hear Live Music Within Newly Opened, $15.8 Million Arts Hub in Downtown Mesa

Artspace invites the public to the January 23, 2019, Grand Opening of the Mesa Artspace Lofts (155 South Hibbert), a $15.8 million arts development in downtown Mesa, AZ. The arts complex includes 50 units of fully leased housing where artists and their families live and work, with nearly 50 children currently residing within; as well as a courtyard, playground, gardens, outdoor stage, pet run, and on-site offices for A New Leaf. Just a few blocks away from the world class Mesa Art Center, and accessible by the new light rail, the Mesa Artspace Lofts contributes to the reinvigoration of downtown Mesa and the East Valley as a destination for the arts and innovation.

 

The Grand Opening, which is free and open to the public, will take place 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 23. Events will showcase the talents of the artists living in the Mesa Artspace Lofts, including open studios and live music by residents including ventriloquist-rapper Zack Beard and Fuzzy (the puppet); Mister Stitch’s Radio (aka Daniel Coon); musician-poet Loryn (aka Lorin Drexler); poet Isarae Koval; comedian Faith Morris; musician-poet Therosia Reynolds; painter Gina Ribaudo-Delap (live painting to music performances); DJ Ronnie Digital (aka Ronnie Sunday); musician Tina Vale; vocalist Alejandra Valenzuela; and writer Michelle Ann Vincent (reading her work to a dance choreography).
