In 2017 the Arkansas Cinema Society was created with the belief that if we provide filmmakers an arena to exhibit their talents, and film enthusiasts a healthy diet of quality programming, we can inspire more Arkansans to make and watch more films. By supporting filmmakers, festivals, theaters and young people interested in filmmaking throughout the state, we hope to create a statewide network, pool Arkansas’s resources and be an umbrella organization that feeds all things film.

In order for a community to excel It must first unite. The Arkansas Cinema Society is excited to be part of The Artspace Immersion program and the community that it has brought together. The knowledge and connections that will be gained over this 12-month program will help to grow and create an environment for the current and upcoming generations of artist here in Arkansas. The ACS is thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of this program and the opportunity to develop tools and connections that will allows to continue to grow our organizations mission and our dreams of having a physical space for all things film.
